Audio Recordings The WWU Libraries collects a variety of audio recordings. While music recordings are held at the Music Library in the PAC and do not circulate outside of the building, spoken word recordings are held in the Wilson Library A/V Room. This collection consists of a LP recordings, audio cassettes and CDs. Audio materials held at Wilson Library circulate for 21 days or can be played at the library's listening stations. Of particular note is the LP collection containing a many recordings from the esteemed Caedmon label which are no longer available. The collection offers the opportunity to hear such great authors as Dylan Thomas, Carl Sandburg, and others reading their own works. Additionally there are recorded theatrical productions from Shakespeare to Eugene O'Neil performed/spoken by some of the great actors of the 20th century. The LP collection also contains a number of LPs from the transcription service of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. The audio cassette and CD collections contains a wide variety of lectures, literature and audio documentaries ranging from Pacifica Radio broadcasts to more recent audio-books.
