Zoological Record:  QL 1 .Z88

  • WHAT:  Zoological Record is the world's oldest continuing animal sciences database.  First published in 1864 ZR serves as the unofficial register of animal names, as well as providing information about all areas of the animal sciences.  Paper editions of this title are also available in the stacks - check the online catalog for locations.
     
  • FORMAT & SCOPE:  Microfiche, v.1, 1864 - v.51, 1914.
     
  • ORGANIZATION:  The collection is divided into areas such as "Insecta", "Mammilla," etc.  Within each section fiche cards are organized by volume number and date as printed in the upper right corner of the fiche header.  Some volumes encompass more than one card.
     
  • INDEX:  Paper indexs are shelved on Haggard 2 in the reference collections as well as in the general stacks.
