Video Collection Off-campus lending

The Western Libraries now circulates videos through Summit Borrowing. Videos currently on course reserve, with pending bookings for classroom use, or restricted by licensing agreements will not be circulated through Summit Borrowing. Additionally, VHS tapes and DVDs that have been on course reserve at least once during the last 12 months are not being loaned through Summit Borrowing.

A list of these titles is available for viewing. Western’s faculty may request that videos be considered for addition to this list by using the Restricted Video Request Form.

WWU Faculty are encouraged to book videos for classroom use as far in advance as possible to assure availability. Instructors may also place videos on a course reserves list.

Any WWU user may place a hold on a checked-out book or video owned by the Western Libraries through the item's catalog record. An email will be sent when the item has been returned and is available.
