Where is the wireless network?

The wireless network includes nearly all of Wilson, Haggard, the Skybridge.  Weather permitting laptops can be taken out of doors where the network covers Red Square, the area between Haggard and Wilson, the PAC Plaza and all floors of the Viking Union. Maps of the signal areas can be found here

Can I renew after 2 hours?

Sorry, due to heavy demand laptops cannot be renewed or checked out for consecutive intervals. You must wait approximately 1/2 hour before checking out another laptop. Laptops in SMATE and Fairhaven can be checked out for 4 hours.

How do the fines work on the wireless computers?

Fines accrue at the rate of $10.00 for every hour or portion of hour. If there are any items missing from the computers (e.g. stylus, zip or floppy drive) fines will continue to accrue until the item is turned in or the item is reported lost.

Am I responsible for loss, theft, or damage of the computers?

Yes. You are responsible for replacement or repair costs of the computers and their components during your checkout period. Replacement cost for any single computer is $2500.00.

What software is available on the laptops?

All the laptops contain the same software found in the the ATUS Labs.
