This year's Volksfest is September 11-13, with five walks, one bike ride, and three socials. In addition to the very special Ferry Walk on Saturday, there will be another special treat when local mystery writer Jo Dereske leads a 5 KM walk through downtown Bellingham. She will point out the places and landmarks mentioned in her Miss Zukas mystery series. She will also be available for questions following the event.

The display features digital and print photos from the 2007 event and this year's "worker's walks," along with a listing of books in the Miss Zukas series. Also available are copies of Miss Zukas books to take and read in anticipation of the guided walk with her.
