Suggestion: I think that during finals week the library should be open 24 hours.

Our Response: Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, we are unable to stay open 24 hours during finals week but we do have extended hours during dead week. Also, we would like to point out that the study areas at the west end of floors 2 & 3 and the east end of floor 1, are open 24 hours per day, as are the general university computer labs on Haggard’s first floor.

Suggestion: I know I ask this every quarter, but it would be extremely valuable to students such as myself to keep just half of the library open until 8 on Fridays and Saturdays. I've had 3 very remote living situations, none of which ever had adequate sound insulation, plus all the neighbors love to make noise. I'm a Veteran from back aways, I require silence, and have spent a substantial amount on tuition over the course of 5 whopping years here at WWU (some of that $$ goes to paying library staff). If I could magically break into a quiet office(I've tried, but those Masterlocks are resilient), I would be in heaven. I'd probably end up getting twice as much done. I'm sorry if there's nothing that can be done and this is a waste of your time, but I'm just VERY tired of our backwards system. (don't worry, I do realize its intentionally backwards, I just think we should maybe make that fact a little less apparent) I heard studying is for nerds anyway...

Suggestion: I walk to campus and the library from home. Tonight I came to the library with the title and call number for the movie I needed. Unfortunately the video library was closed. I was there more than 5 minutes before the closing time of 6pm. If the library is going to close at 5:50PM, please state this on your website and posted hours as this was very inconvenient. Being told to come back tomorrow was not helpful.

Suggestion: Would be handy if holiday hours were posted as news and events on the main page, rather than having to go to the hours page to find them.
