Arts & Humanities Citation Index is a multidisciplinary database covering the journal literature of the arts and humanities, including archaeology, architecture, art, Asian studies, classics, dance, film, folklore, history, language, linguistics, literature, music, philosophy, poetry, religion and theatre. It indexes over 1000 of the leading arts and humanities journals as well as selected science and social science journals. Because the database includes the article's bibliography or cited reference list, you can also search the database for articles that cite a known author or older article. - EBSCO (All Databases)
EBSCO (All Databases) is a combination of Academic Search Complete (a scholarly, multi-disciplinary database, with more than 10,000 journals, with more than 5,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 4,600 peer-reviewed journals) and Business Source Complete (a full-text index to journals in business, management, marketing, etc.)
- ERIC - Cambridge Scientific Abstracts
Dates covered: 1966-current
ERIC is a good source for references to journal articles and docuents on dance edcuation. ERIC provides indexing and abstracts of all types of materials including journal articles, government documents, books, dissertations, and unpublished materials such as curriculum guides, research reports and conference papers in education and related topics in the social sciences. Many ERIC documents published between 1993 and 2004 are now available online full text. Most ERIC documents published from 1966-1993 are available in the ERIC Microfiche collection on Wilson 2 West.
- Ethnic Newswatch and ENW: a History

A full-text collection of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Useful for dance companies or dance styles of american ethnic groups. Searchable in English or Spanish.
- Film Literature Index Online
Dates covered: 1976-2001
Film Literature Index is a subject index to 150 film and television periodicals from 30 countries cover-to-cover and 200 other periodicals selectively for articles on film and television. Periodicals range from the scholarly to the popular. More than 2,000 subject headings provide detailed analysis of the articles. The print version is available in the Reference Collection on Haggard 2 PN1993 .F62)and covers the years 1973-2004.

Music Index, produced by Harmonie Park Press, is the most comprehensive subject-author guide to music periodical literature. The Music Index has been available in print since 1949. The Music Index online coverage spans from 1976 to the present and contains surveyed data from 775 international music periodicals from over 40 countries, with English translations from 22 languages. Some backfile data from the period 1962-1975 is also included. Topics concerned with every aspect of the classical and popular world of music are thoroughly categorized and organized according to the framework of an internal Subject List, which includes both Subject and Geographic headings. Dance Videos: How to Locate
- Searching the Library Catalog
Specific Video Title:
-
Search by Title in the library catalog. Any video can be searched using the same kind of search commands that are used to search for print materials - author, title, subject, etc. Directors, actors, producers, etc. are considered authors for the purpose of catalog searching.
Subject Search:
-
Search by keyword or subject (Library of Congress Subject Heading). Limit the search to videos by clicking on the Limit this search button at the top of the screen. From the pull-down menu for Material Type choose Visual Media and click the Submit button. Words entered are authomatically combined with the AND operator. You can create phrases with quotation marks. For example, a keyword search entering the words dance "world music" with the Material Type limit Visual Media collected the following videos:
