    The Yearbook provides statistics on the production of about 530 industrial commodities by country, geographical region, economic grouping, and for the world in over 500 tables.

  • Barron's Commodity.com / Barron's
    Provides news, charts, and other commodity information. Free registration is required. It provides access to information on futures, energy, stock indexes, forex and commodities.
  • Commodity Futures Trading Commission
    The mission of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is to protect market users and the public from fraud, manipulation, and abusive practices related to the sale of commodity and financial futures and options, and to foster open, competitive, and financially sound futures and option markets. It provides lists of the various commodity exchanges, provides a brief history and lists what they trade.

    The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., is the world's largest physical commodity futures exchange and the preeminent trading forum for energy and precious metals. It include futures and options contracts for crude oil, gasoline, heating oil, natural gas, electricity, gold, silver, copper, aluminum, and platinum; futures contracts for coal, propane, and palladium; and options contracts on the price differentials between crude oil and gasoline, crude oil and heating oil, Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude oil, and various futures contract months (calendar spreads) for light, sweet crude; Brent crude; gasoline; heating oil; and natural gas.
