Collections of Federal Publications
- Congressional Research Service Search Engine
Congressional Research Service (CRS)is a federal agency that provides Congress with authorative, non-partisan report on current topics.
CRS doesn't put their reports online but various organizations do, and the 2Act organization has created this unofficial search engine to locate them.
- GAO Reports
The Government Accountability Office (formerly the General Accounting Office) is the agency Congress uses to assess how well government programs are working. This website contains full-text reports on the Bellingham pipeline incident, Iraq, electronic voting, etc.

The main website for the White House, including links to all cabinet departments and mjor independent agencies.
Congress
- Thomas
Thomas is the Library of Congress's guide to Congressional activities. It contains the text and status of bills and laws, in some cases back to the 1970s. It also has the text of the Congressional Record back to 1989. It has information on Congressional committees back to 1995.
- Active Legislation
The U.S. Senate's list of bills currently under active consideration, arranged by subject.
Statistics
- FedStats / FedStats
FedStats provides access to the full range of official statistical information available to the public from the Federal Government. This includes official statistics collected and published by more than 100 Federal agencies.

Statistical Abstract of the U.S. contains a collection of statistical tables on social and economic conditions in the United States with selected international data. Sources include data from the Census Bureau, other Federal agencies, and private organizations. Back issues are available in print form in the Government Documents collection: C 3.134: Tables and information from the years 1995-2002 are available on the web.

Washington State maintains an extensive web site which contains a wealth of economic, demographic and other information.
