Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery Services (Requesting materials from Western Libraries)
Western Libraries can send materials you need from the library directly to your home or office. You will need to set up an Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Account (ILLiad) first.
You can use your Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery account for the services listed below. Just log in to your account and fill out the appropriate form.
Please note that acquiring material through document delivery or interlibrary loan takes a few days. The Interlibrary Loan department suggests the following time frame:

For copies of journal articles in the Western Libraries collection (not online): 5-7 working days

For books from the Western Libraries collection: 5-7 working days
-
For books and journal articles not in the Western Libraries collection: 7-10 working days
Please keep this time frame in mind when creating your course syllabus. Students will need adequate time to receive materials from the collection.

Western Libraries can place library owned materials such as journal articles, short book chapters or your own materials (such as lecture notes) on e-reserve for you. If the material is in paper format, the Circulation department will scan the materials for you.
If the article you want to place on e-reserve is available full-text online from one of the Western Libraries' databases, you may create a direct link to the article in Blackboard. Please see Linking to articles in full-text databases below.
