HeinOnline HeinOnline is a legal research collection that features full-text searching of the complete historical run of scholarly legal and criminal justice periodicals. Other sources covered in full-text include published and unpublished treaties; The Federal Register (1936-present), U.S. Supreme Court Reports, and U.S. Attorney General Opinions. The U.S. Code of Federal Regulations CFR)is available full-text from inception in 1938 through the 1983 edition. Site License.

LexisNexis Congressional The LexisNexis Congressional service provides users with access to the most comprehensive collection of historic and current congressional information available anywhere online. This collection includes the full text of congressional publications, finding aids, a bill tracking service, and the full text of public laws and other research materials to enable both novice and experienced researchers to complete many types of research projects. Since Congress is interested in all public policy, social, and economic issues, the database is an effective source for general research in many academic disciplines, in addition to research related to specific legislative proposals and laws. The database also contains information about individual members of congress and congressional committees.

Westlaw Campus Research     1789- West Law Campus Research provides the fulltext to West's legal reporters that include all federal and state case law (Courts of Appeals and higher), statutes and regulations for all 50 states, Code of Federal Regulations, The Federal Register, administrative rulings, and legal coverage of the European Union. Included are over 700 law revews and journals, American Jurisprudence 2nd, and American Law Reports. The business collection includes Hoover's Company Records, SEC reports, and trade journals. Includes news and information databases, newspapers, newsletters, trade journals, newswires, and broadcast transcripts.

Canadian Depository Services Program Catalogue This is a searchable catalog of Canadian Federal publications and links to government Web sites.

Data.gov The purpose of Data.gov is to increase public access to high value, machine readable datasets generated by the Executive Branch of the Federal Government. As a priority Open Government Initiative for President Obama's administration, Data.gov increases the ability of the public to easily find, download, and use datasets that are generated and held by the Federal Government. Data.gov provides descriptions of the Federal datasets (metadata), information about how to access the datasets, and tools that leverage government datasets. The data catalogs will continue to grow as datasets are added. Federal, Executive Branch data are included in the first version of Data.gov.

EPA's Science Inventory The Environmental Protection Agency's Science Inventory is a searchable, Agency-wide catalog of more than 4,000 science activities such as research, technical assistance and assessments, along with more than 750 peer-reviewed products. Database records include project descriptions, products produced, types of peer review, links to related work and contacts for additional information. Users can conduct keyword searches or search within nine cross-cutting science topics.

GPO Access (Government Printing Office) GPO Access is a service of the U.S. Government Printing Office that provides free electronic access to a wealth of important information products produced by the Federal Government. The information provided on this site is the official, published version and the information retrieved from GPO Access can be used without restriction, unless specifically noted. This free service is funded by the Federal Depository Library Program and has grown out of Public Law 103-40, known as the Government Printing Office Electronic Information Enhancement Act of 1993.

U.S. Congressional Committee Meetings Index     1985-current Staff of the NCSU Libraries has extracted the abstracts of the committee meetings reported in the Daily Digests, beginning with the 99th Congress (1985 to the present)and makes them available via this interface.

Homeland Security Digital Library        NOTE: This resource is available only on the Western Campus. A collection of more than 50,000 full-text publications related to homeland security; it is available because WWU is a federal depository library. Most of these publications are government documents and topics include terrorism, border issues, climate change, immigration, pandemics, school violence, food security, etc. The HSDL is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Preparedness Directorate, FEMA and the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security.
