"Archives Month Pecha-Kucha"
Pecha-Kucha night to be held Oct. 22 in honor of National Archives Month
In celebration of Archives Month, the Goltz-Murray Archives Building at Western Washington University will play host to an "Archives Month Pecha-Kucha" event from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22. The campus community is invited to attend.
This event will feature fast-paced presentations by professional archivists and WWU graduate students in the History Department's Archives and Records Management program. The Pecha-Kucha slideshow format features 20 images each lasting just 20 seconds, so the entire presentation is a short 6:40. Possible presentation topics include students’ spring/summer internship experiences or their master’s thesis research. Professional archivists may discuss their favorite collections, resources they love and why, or other issues related to the archives/records management field.
This event is co-sponsored by the WWU Student Chapter of the Society of American Archivist and the History Department's Graduate Program in Archives and Records Management, with a financial contribution from Northwest Archivists (a regional professional association).
