Art of the States
Through a collaboration of WGBH Radio Boston and broadcasters of the European Broadcasting Union, Art of the States has been building an online library of the works of modern American composers. Entries include sound files of the complete work as well as biographical information and a description of each piece in the database.

This site provides a gateway into current research in the history of music theory and literature underway at Indiana University. It indexes and provides access to numerous transcriptions of numerous treatises and codex. This site also links directly to Doctoral Dissertations in Musicology (DDM).

SMI is a database providing access to digitized renderings of texts relating to music theory and aesthetics. The primary focus of SMI project is major treatises written in Italian with the goal of including all printed treatises from the Renaissance to the present. All treatises in the database may be downloaded and are fully searchable.
