  4. The collection is designed to support the Linguistics Program. The science of language, linguistics, is an interdisciplinary field relating to the diversity of cultures and languages of the world. A major or minor in linguistics is available.

The collection reflects the breadth of linguistics interests of the linguistics faculty, including but not limited to: applied phonetics, applied linguistics, language acquisition, language analysis, language disorders, syntax, semantics, morphology, sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics, and second language acquisitions.

  18. The collection supports linguistics faculty in the following departments: Modern & Classical Languages, Communication Sciences and Disorders, English, Computer Science, Anthropology, Philosophy, and Teaching English as a Second Language.
