EndNote and ProQuest

The ProQuest database is provided by UMI. To import records from ProQuest to an EndNote library file, do the following:

Save a search from the database

After marking records, move the cursor over the "Results and Marked List" button, and select "Marked List & Durable Links."

When the Marked List screen appears, select "Export Citations."

There are two options, to export directly or save the records to a text file compatible with EndNote. "Export directly" should start the EndNote program on your computer.

When EndNote starts up, enter a library file name.

Click the "Save" button and the records will appear in the EndNote window.

Now the records may be managed in the EndNote software.
