EndNote and the Western Libraries Catalog

The Western Libraries catalog software is provided by Innovative Interfaces, Inc. To import records from the Western Libraries Catalog to an EndNote library file, do the following:

Save a records by checking the Mark boxes

After marking records, click the "Save Marked Records" button. When the next screen appears, the "Email / Export Saved List" button will appear in the row of yellow buttons.

Select "Email/Export Saved List" to display the export screen.

Select the End-Note format, and "Local Disk" to save the text file.

Be sure to save the records as a Text File (*.txt), not as a HTML file.

Start the EndNote program, and create a new library file, unless you wish to add records to an existing library file. Select "Import" from the File menu.

The Import Data File is "export.txt" the name of the file saved from the catalog save. The Import Option is "EndNote Import". Click on the "Import" button and the records will appear in the EndNote library.
