How to Locate a Speech
Search by keyword on the Library Catalog. Search orator's
name and the truncated term speech* to pull up all bibliographic
information concerning your chosen orator and his or her speeches.
Search the
Library Catalog under subject headings
such as:
America--Oratory
Orators
American Orations
Negro Orators
English Orations
Speeches, Addresses, etc.
Indians of North America--Oratory
Women as Orators
OrationsOr, to find speeches on a particular subject, look up the subject; then find the subdivision addresses, essays, lectures.
Use specialized indexes to locate speeches - search for the author's name, by subject, or type of speech, such as presidential speeches, inaugural addresses, etc.
