About Western Libraries

The Western Libraries consist of the Mabel Zoe Wilson Library, which includes the Haggard Wing, and the Music Library located in the Performing Arts Center. Together, the Libraries hold a collection of more than 1.3 million books, microforms, videos, serials, newspapers, and government documents.

Western's Library Web site includes access to the WWU Libraries catalog, Summit - a combined catalog of over 30 academic libraries in Washington and Oregon, as well as online catalogs of other selected libraries. In addition, the Library Web site accesses bibliographic and full-text databases, the World Wide Web, and specialized bibliographies and subject guides.

Most resources are available to all users within the libraries. Public computer workstations are located in the reference area on Haggard 2 and provide access to the library catalog, electronic databases and other library resources, as well as the World Wide Web and web-based email. Visitor passwords are available from the Reference & Information Desk. The library catalog and select resources are also available to the greater community online at http://www.library.wwu.edu/. For information and assistance, call Reference & Information at (360) 650-3094.

Community members may purchase or qualify for a WWU Libraries Courtesy/Community Card. For more information, go to Borrowing Materials: General Information.
