Tablebase is international in scope, and covers more than
90 industries. It provides tabular data on such topics as market share, company and brand
rankings, industry and product forecasts, production and consumption statistics, imports
and exports, usage and capacity, number of users/outlets, trends and demographics. Tables are
drawn from more than 900 publications of trade associations, non-profit research groups,
government agencies, international organizations, and selected investment research groups
such as PainWebber and BearStearns. Tables are unambiguously titles, with additional indexing
by country, company and industry names, 6-digit product codes, SIC codes, and concept and
marketing terms. Every indexed table is provided in full text, and many have linked
descriptive text.

Downloading Tables into Excel
TableBase does not offer a direct export to Excel feature. If you are in a lab or at home, highlight the data you want and copy it (using "control-c") Open an Excel spreadsheet and paste the data. Format the data by choosing Data --> Text to Columns on the menu bar. Choose fixed width and adjust as needed. You can now perform spreadsheet functions on your data. Unfortunately the public terminals in the library do not have excel. You must use one of the labs in the library building.
