Research Grant

2006 Summer Research/Creative Activity Grant from The Office of Research & Sponsored Programs, Western Washington University.
This is an ongoing project to transcribe, digitize and publish some of the letters and questionnaires in the Western Libraries Elizabeth Rider Montgomery Collection. These primary documents include correspondence from some of the most beloved and well known early twentieth-century children's literature authors and illustrators. The project involves the creation of a Web site to provide access to searchable, digitized documents. Transcriptions, links for further research, and chapters from Montgomery’s book The Story Behind Modern Books, will be part of the Web site.
