    America:  History and Life (online)
     America: History and Life is a bibliographic database for the history of the United States and Canada
     from prehistory to the present.  It covers over 1800 journals published worldwide since 1964.  It
     includes citations of book and media reviews, and abstracts of dissertations.   Over 90% of the
     articles  included are published in English-language journals. Updated monthly.

    EBSCO
    Provides full-text for most articles in periodicals and newspapers on a broad range of general reference
    subjects including arts, business, humanities, social sciences, and the sciences. Can limit the search to
    "research library" or to "peer-reviewed."

   JSTOR (online)
     JSTOR digitizes and provides enhanced indexing to complete runs of  selected journals starting with the very first  issues. Current issues are not included and there is a fixed period of time, from 2 to 5 years, between the actual current issue of any journal and the date of the most recent issue available in JSTOR.

    Readers' Guide Retrospective (1890-1982) Online

   Women studies abstracts periodical index Reference HQ1101 .W772
    Abstracts are indexed by subject, journals, and authors, in alphabetical order. Put in topical sections, these sections refer you internally to other abstracts of interest as does
    the subject index. The index refers the user to an abstract number.
