This is one of the most complete encyclopedias of art.  The contributors are art specialists from many parts of the world.  The subject matter covers architecture, sculpture, painting and other man-made objects that enters the field of aesthetic judgment.  The articles include extensive bibliographies, and approximately the last half of each volume consists of plates arranged to illustrate the articles.  Volumes 16 and 17 are supplements

America: History and Life (1964 - ) is a bibliographic database indexing scholarly literature on the history and culture of the United States and Canada from prehistoric times to the present. The scope includes citations and abstracts of journal articles, dissertations, as well as book and media reviews. It also often cites primary sources within the abstract, including personal journals, letters, memoirs, etc.  

Anthropology Plus
Anthropology Plus combines Anthropological Literature from Harvard University and Anthropological Index from the Royal Anthropological Institute (UK), providing international indexing of journal articles, reports, commentaries, and edited works from the fields of social, cultural, physical, biological, and linguistic anthropology, ethnology, archaeology, material culture, folklore and interdisciplinary studies.

Contemporary Women's Issues
Provides full-text access to global, interdisciplinary information on women, located within journals, newsletters, and research reports from non-profit, governmental, and international agencies.

EBSCO - Academic Search Complete
Academic Search Complete is a scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 5,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 4,600 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 9,500 journals and a total of more than 10,000 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format.

Ethnic NewsWatch
A full-text collection of the newspapers, magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press. Searchable in English or Spanish.

Global NewsBank
News articles covering politics, economics, culture, business, science, technology and the environment from Africa, Asia, Europe, the former Soviet Union, the Pacific Rim, Central and South America, and the Middle East.
