One of the selections from the Indian Reading Series. The Indian Reading Series of stories and legends of the Northwest provides over 100 leveled books for elementary grades, and includes reading games and teacher's manuals. The series was developed by the Pacific Northwest Indian Reading and Language Development Program, Northwest Regional Educational Laboratory, and was published under the direction of the Educational Equity Group/Multicultural/Bilingual Division of the National Institute of Education. A few of the titles at a variety of levels are listed on this guide and are on display.
