New York : H. Holt, 1990

Special Collections -- Controlled Access Collection NC1766 .U52 W3737 1990

This is a fun book! If you enjoy Bugs, Daffy, Elmer, and the rest, you will enjoy looking through these pages. A history of Warner Bros. cartoons with lots of sketches and background information about the cartoons.

From the foreword by Ray Bradbury:

"What about Saturday mornings when most decent hard working folks are snuggling in bed? Would you dare call me on the phone? No! Why? I'm watching the Bugs Bunny show."

Part one is a history in images and photographs from 1930 to 1969, part two has sections for the main characters, "The Stars". Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, and the Tasmanian Devil have their own sections!

Be warned, looking through this book will get you thinking about the original cartoons and watching them again. So here is a link to the DVDs in the library!
