Selection of the Month
The Tale of Corally Crothers is a charming story of an only child in search of a friend. She arose one morning, bathed, dressed, packed and determinedly went off to find her friend -- which turns out to be you! The story is written in rhyme and includes lovely Art Deco illustrations created by the author.
The book is part of a larger donation of children's books made by Mary Ann Ford in July 2008. Mary Ann, who grew up in the small farming community of Waterville, Washington, was always fond of books and reading, and carefully maintained her collection, until generously donating them to Special Collections. Others she donated include Uncle Wiggly at the Beach (1936), Topsy Turvy and the Tin Clown (1932), and a The Story of Delicia (1935).
