Every spring since 2004, the Teaching-Learning Academy has hosted the Academy Awards, an awards ceremony and reception to celebrate individual and collective achievements in teaching and learning at WWU and beyond.
The 2014 Academy Awards Reception will take place on Tuesday, June 3rd, 4:30-6:00 pm, in the Library's Fourth Floor Reading Room. For 2013-2014, we have focused on "How do we ignite individual passion, purpose, and potential to co-create a culture of trust?" The program includes light refreshments, followed by the awards ceremony and a presentation on this year's study of the BIG Question. Dressing up is encouraged, and we would greatly appreciate RSVPs to Shevell Thibou, Shevell.Thibou@wwu.edu.
Every year, Teaching-Learning Academy (TLA) members nominate people who contribute to the learning culture at WWU in terms of the big question we are studying for the year.
Only TLA members can nominate, but anyone can be nominated. Nominate as many deserving people/groups as you want. Our goal is to recognize widely, so everyone who is nominated with an appropriate rationale (based on the TLA's BIG question) receives an award.
